Word Processor

Senitrus Office’s Word Processor may not be a creative name, but it will define the role of this program very easily. If you need a word processor, then you would simply go to Office > Word Processor. The program will have a ribbon style system for formatting a document such as bold, or italics. The word processor will allow you to add images, and can do a number of things. There would have been a lot of work to get Word Processor working to what I will like. There will be some heat I would suspect from a couple of powerful companies, but the goal will be to be able to save in not only .odt which is an open standard, but also in MS Word format, Apple Pages format, and Adobe Acrobat Format. I will likely win with Microsoft since LibreOffice can save in .docx format. I will use this same principal to battle with Adobe and Apple. The formats Word Processor can edit/save in is as follow:

  • .doc, .docx
  • .htm, .html
  • .odt (default)
  • .pages
  • .pdf

No matter whether I win my battles or not, Senitrus Word Processor will default in saving in .odt format. The default save format can be changed in the settings, however as an .odt format, every OS should have little trouble viewing the file, and even possibly editing them. This is also the format that LibreOffice default saves to it. If you change the default save to, be mindful of the format you save as. While every OS? can view .pdf files, most can not edit without an supported program.
