First, a Distro is short for distribution. So, why not use a particular distro? Well the answer is simple, and that is for assurance that I will always have permission to use and install that OS on my devices. Let’s assume I decided on Zorin OS. Well, I will have to get permission from them to install their OS on hundreds if not thousands of computers. Let’s assume that next year, they revoke the permission. Now, I have to find a new OS, and get permission from that developer to use their OS. Again, if the decide to not renew the license, I must find another developer. As you can see, to try to provide support for not only the distro I have allowance to use now, but also provide for support of the previous OS installations that were once allowed.
If I pay developers to create an Linux Distribution that would meet my requirements, and standards, than I just have to give myself permission to install my OS on my computers. As you can see, it becomes much easier to deal with that situation. And with Senitrus OS, I will have a distribution that meets my desires, and my expectation of what an operating system should be.
